What is Your Creative Purpose?
is a tribute to children of God who utilizes their gifts to serve His purpose. Remember that God's ultimate purpose for all of us is that He would be glorified (1 Corinthians 10:31). One reassuring scripture of God’s declaration in our life’s plan is: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future -Jeremiah 29:11. This scripture was embraced by one of our participants who declared that she stands by God’s words that He has a purpose for our lives and what we do; she said that she would post this scripture up every time she participates in a craft fair.
What is also reassuring is that God has created each and every one of us with a gift. God has given us talents and abilities to use for His purpose; and in fulfilling his purpose, we are blessed. (4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. 7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good . 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 (NIV)).
God does not present you with a gift and say: “Okay, here ya go - now you’re on your own.” God always equips us to do what he calls us for. He gives us the Holy Spirit who prepares, guides and equips us with the opportunities to embrace the situations, time and occurrence in serving others. Now, if by chance you aren't gifted in a certain area, I would guess, God is probably not calling you to minister in that area (gospel soloist, sermonizing ☺). IF YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD, YOU ARE GIFTED! God's gifts and His call are irrevocable. Romans 11: 29. If
you got it, use it!!! 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. Romans 12:6-8 (NIV)
In utilizing the many gifts that we have, we are also in “one accord” as prayer warriors, God’s intercessors of prayer. As Jesus Christ is the head of the church, we are the body as believers moved by the Holy Spirit to intercede for each other. Prayers that appeals to the atonement of Christ, stands upon the promises of God's Word, resists the enemy's strategies to oppose God's will, and receives the grace of God for those we are praying for.
This is, indeed a humble honor; and our Precious Father has presented this gift to us! Our Heavenly Father has bestowed this special gift upon us and it is our responsibility that this entitlement is not to be carried lightly. Our commitment and devotion to God and significant spiritual attitudes must be in alignment with His agenda (trust, faith and obedience). Love and compassion, discipline and dedication must be attributed to each prayer request submitted without judgment or indecisiveness; to be willing and able to pray earnestly on behalf of our brothers and sisters in need. We are not alone in our commitment in prayer; we have the presence of the Holy Spirit to guide and protect us in our commitment. The Holy Spirit also intercedes for us on our behalf if we are unable to express in words.
It is God’s most infinite expression of love to us is selecting us to be His servants. Serving, loving and praying for others is our creative purpose in giving God the glory!
Scripture – Gifts of Talents 12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 13 Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. 14 And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. 15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!
