FAQ on Prayer
Although there are many questions regarding God and prayer, God takes heed to all who pray; however,
a lot is to be said on how we pray, our sincerity and our unceasing determination for continuous prayer.
Here are a few questions to meditate on.
What do we pray for?
Limitless blessings, praises and life challenges. Matters of the heart, on your mind or burning your
soul. It is also for the desire to pray for the good will and well being of others according to God's
words: Love your neighbor as yourself.
Does God listen?
Come to him with a sincere heart. Sometimes it is good for us to be still and listen to God – Allow the
Lord to speak to us.
Are our prayers answered? All sincere prayers are answered; but we must be sure we know what we are praying for. Remember, all prayers are answered in God’s will and timing; the outcome may be different than we expect.
Are we satisfied with God’s decision/action?
Do we trust God with all your heart, mind and soul? He has an unrelenting love for us that is far beyond our reach.
When do we pray?
24/7 – whenever the need. Let prayers never cease – this is your time with God! Let him in!
Where do we pray?
Everywhere – God knows everything, even before we come before him. He wants to hear it from us; he wants to communicate through prayer, communication; song and praise, even tears.
How do we pray?
Do you believe in Miracles?
I believe in miracles, I believe that even in the midst of the storm, when we feel we should give up...God is there. Do we wait for God’s answer or do we ask God to give us the strength to endure or empower us to take this request into fruition? Always, praise God no matter what the outcome is.
“Count your blessings, name them one by one, count your blessings, see what God has done!” Keep a journal of your most wanted prayers; go back from time to time and see how your prayers were answered? You’ll see all the wonderful blessings God has poured upon you.
Scripture: Colossians1:9-12 (NIV)
9For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. 10And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully 12giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you[d] to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.
