Scriptures:
Romans 12:1-2 is a significant passage; we are commanded to present (yield) our bodies as holy and acceptable living sacrifices, and to refuse to be conformed to the world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. The instrument by which the transformation comes about is the new mind (intellect)--a grace-gift imputed at salvation by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:16; Hebrews 10:16). This renewal takes place in the "inward man" (2 Corinthians 4:16) which "is renewed in knowledge" (Colossians 3:10) according to the image of the Creator. Thus, the renewal comes about intellectually, through the ministrations of the Holy Spirit, as we seek, study, store, and obey the magnificent Word of God.
An Extreme Makeover
God does have great plans for your life! We were created by God, in His image, for a purpose. Just as God set apart from birth Isaiah (Isaiah 49:1), Jeremiah (Jeremiah 1:5) and Paul (Galatians 1:15) for a the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to g ive you hope and a future’” (Jeremiah 29:11). The Bible says that God's will is “good, pleasing and perfect” (Romans 12:2).
What is keeping you from doing God’s will? What’s keeping us from the blessings that we so desire? What’s keeping us from peace of mind and contentment? Why on earth are we not getting what the Bible declares what we should have? Are we the true children of God, are we behaving in the manner that God wants us to be; althought, we are saved by the Grace – there are still conditions that we must abide by to receive the due Ware we hindering ourselves from the bessings we are to receive? Are we doiDo we want to be true children of God, we must become and improve to be what is pleasing to God. This calls for a true transition in our lives, an extreme makeover.
Everyone one needs a fresh makeover once in a while; a renewed you; body, mind and spirit; our inner being; our true self. Let’s pull down the cobwebs, sweep out the dust, mop of our floors and renew ourselves.
